Fertility wisdom from those who’ve been there.

Trying to conceive can be full of questions. We’re here to help you feel supported, informed, and not alone. This page is your space to feel calm and confident. Whether you're tracking ovulation, learning about your cycle, or figuring out when to test. You'll find expert tips, real stories, and simple guides to help you through it all.

Not sure where to begin? Start with our most asked questions below. Clear, caring, and backed by experience.

  • You can track ovulation by using dip-and-read test strips that detect a rise in luteinising hormone (LH), a signal that ovulation is likely within 24–36 hours.

Our Ovulation Test kit includes a Colour Reference Card and LH Curve Tracking Chart to help you easily track, understand and follow your cycle and pinpoint your 2-day fertility window.

  • The most effective way is to use LH tests daily around the midpoint of your cycle. Our ovulation tests use semiquantitative technology, meaning they don’t just give you a yes or no, they show changes in your hormone levels over time. This helps you clearly identify your two most fertile days and understand your cycle more deeply.

  • To calculate your cycle length, count the days from the first day of your period (Day 1) to the day before your next period starts. Track this over at least three months to get a reliable average.

Once you know your average cycle length, use the “When to Start” chart in your instruction leaflet to figure out the best day to begin ovulation testing.

  • Our early detection pregnancy tests are more sensitive. They can pick up lower levels of hCG and are designed for use up to 5 days before your missed period.

Our standard pregnancy tests are best used from the day your period is due, with 99% accuracy.

For women in perimenopause, we recommend using the standard pregnancy test, as hormonal fluctuations may affect early detection test results.

  • If your ovulation test lines never darken or show a peak, you may have either missed a short LH surge, or not have ovulated this cycle.

Try testing twice a day next time, and use the LH Curve Tracking Card in your kit to spot patterns.

If you continue having trouble detecting a surge or are concerned about irregular cycles, it’s a good idea to check in with your doctor for personalised support.

  • No! Everything you need is in the kit—test strips, colour reference card, and a hormone tracking chart. No apps, accounts, or digital tools required.

  • Yes, you can. If your cycles vary in length, we recommend tracking the start of your period over 3 months and calculating the average cycle length. Then use the “When to Start” chart in your instruction leaflet to find your best starting day.

With irregular cycles, it’s often helpful to test over a longer window—starting earlier and continuing a few extra days.

You’ll also find helpful tips in our How to use the bébé bloom ovulation test and track your cycle blog, which covers how to chart your cycle and spot patterns over time.

  • Each bébé bloom test is designed to be simple and clear:

    • Ovulation Tests: If the test line is as dark or darker than the control line, you’ve detected your LH surge and are likely to ovulate in the next 24–36 hours. Use your Colour Reference Card and LH Curve Tracking Chart to track your cycle and spot your fertile window.

    • Pregnancy & Early Detection Tests: Two lines mean you're pregnant—even if the second line is faint. One line in the control window means not pregnant. Both tests work the same way, but early detection tests are more sensitive and can detect lower levels of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) up to 5 days before your missed period.

Whether you’re tracking ovulation or testing for pregnancy, your kit includes a printed instruction leaflet with result illustrations to guide you every step of the way.

  • Signs of hormone balance include regular cycles (typically 24–35 days), minimal PMS symptoms, steady energy, and clear skin.

These signs often reflect a healthy cycle, but if you're unsure, tracking with ovulation tests or speaking with a healthcare provider can help clarify things.

  • Stress can affect your hormones, disrupt ovulation, and make cycles less predictable. While stress won’t cause infertility on its own, high stress can make conception more difficult.

That’s why we created bébé bloom, a space that offers testing that’s calm, private, and pressure-free. Because your emotional wellbeing matters, too.
